INTERVIEW
What defines you as a competitor?
My approach to dealing with the mental side of my position. There is a philosophy behind my playing style that allows me to gain a competitive advantage. This ability lets me make big saves and spark transition.
Why do you use the FIBER 12 System?
I travel a lot for lacrosse, so having a reliable stick is very important to me. With the FIBER 12 System, I can pull it out of my bag, give it a pound and its MLL game ready.
How does your pocket help you be the spark?
It allows me to be this spark because of its reliability. If I don’t have to think about my stick,
“I am able to focus on making the save”
and get the ball down the field to the offense where they can score a goal. This results in a two goal swing, a save on defensive end and goal on the offensive end.
If you could tell youth goalies one thing, what would it be?
Find your strength as a player. Every goalie has their own strengths, you need to find and embrace them to reach your full potential.
Do you have rituals or superstitions?
Not really… Game days I go about my day like it is any other day. Then when I get to the field I flip the switch, focus-in and I know it’s game time. This allows me to take a more relaxed approach and save my energy for the field.
